Half-Term Camp 2026

Children kick off their Minecraft coding journey by revisiting and strengthening their understanding of for and while loops in a fun, hands-on way.

They are then introduced to the powerful concept of functions, learning how real programmers simplify complex tasks and bring ideas to life more efficiently.

To finish the day, they put their new skills into action by writing their own code to design and build a working road inside Minecraft — turning logic into creativity through exciting, practical coding challenges.

Children explore the exciting world of conditionals using if and else statements, learning how computers make decisions and respond to different situations.

Using their new skills, they will design and code a Minecraft maze-navigation challenge, creating programs that can react, adapt and solve problems step-by-step.

This fun, interactive session helps develop logical thinking, resilience and computational problem-solving in an engaging Minecraft environment.

Children revisit and strengthen their understanding of conditionals, learning how coding can be used to make smart decisions and create interactive programs.

They are then introduced to the exciting concept of lists in programming — special “collections” that allow coders to store and organise multiple items at once.

Using these new skills, children will write their own Minecraft programs that use lists to store and place different types of blocks, helping them build more creative and advanced Minecraft worlds through coding.

Children recap everything they have learned about coding commands, robots and Minecraft automation throughout the week.

They will learn how to use their Minecraft robot to harvest resources such as wood and stone, before writing their own simple programs that allow the robot to collect and store materials automatically.

To finish the camp, children complete and refine their personal Minecraft coding projects, preparing for a fun final presentation where they can proudly showcase their creations, coding skills and creativity to the group and their parents!

The camp is designed for girls and boys aged 6–9 years old.

No previous experience is required. The programme is beginner-friendly and designed to support children of all ability levels in a fun and encouraging environment.

Children will explore coding concepts such as loops, functions, conditionals and lists through exciting Minecraft challenges and robotics activities. They will also develop creativity, teamwork, confidence and problem-solving skills.

Children will use Dash, Mini and Indi Sphero robots during hands-on robotics activities and coding challenges.

Both! The camp combines learning and fun through practical STEAM activities, creative Minecraft projects, robotics, teamwork and active games.

All Minecraft, robotics and activity equipment is provided. Children will also take part in indoor and outdoor games, movement activities and creative team challenges each day.

Class sizes are intentionally small and limited to only 15 children to ensure personalised support and a high-quality experience.

We maintain an excellent 1:5 staff-to-child ratio for close supervision and support throughout the camp.

Yes. Children enjoy daily indoor and outdoor active play including games, movement challenges, team activities and gymnastics-style activities.

Yes. Children are supervised at all times in a safe, supportive and encouraging environment with experienced staff.

Yes, it is possible to book individual days if needed. However, the programme is carefully designed as a complete 4-day learning experience, with skills building progressively each day. For the best learning experience and maximum benefit, we strongly recommend attending all four days.

No. The day includes a balanced mix of Minecraft activities, robotics, teamwork tasks, movement breaks and active indoor/outdoor games.

On the final day, children complete their Minecraft coding projects and take part in a fun presentation where they can showcase their creations and new skills to the group and parents.

Absolutely! The camp encourages teamwork, collaboration and social interaction, helping children build confidence and make new friends in a welcoming environment.
